Rich and Debbie Pennick, Lenexa, Kan., have made a commitment of $50,000 to the College of Engineering at Kansas State University to establish the Rich and Debbie Pennick Construction Science Excellence Fund.

K-State Telefund hosted its Grand-Prize Giveaway recently at Bosco Student Plaza on the K-State campus. The Grand-Prize Giveaway celebrated the end of Telefund 2009, the annual all-volunteer telephone campaign that raised $1.2 million for K-State this year.

Philip and Jeannie Hollis, Tucson, Ariz., have made a commitment of $150,000 through a charitable remainder unitrust to Kansas State University to establish the Hollis Family Legacy Scholarship.

II-VI Foundation, Bridgeville, Pa., has made a commitment of $77,900 for one year to the College of Engineering at Kansas State University to fund the II-VI Foundation Fund in Chemical Engineering.

The establishment of the Edna C. Richardson Fund will be recognized at a ceremony marking the opening of the KSU Learning Center/K-State Center on Aging at Meadowlark Hills Retirement Community, Manhattan, Kan., at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 5. The public is invited to attend.
