The newest class of ConocoPhillips SPIRIT Scholars at Kansas State University was announced Thursday, April 16, during an event at K-State with ConocoPhillips representatives.
Seventeen students from across Kansas and from Missouri and Iowa were recently named to the 2009-2010 class of the Kansas State University Student Foundation.
The KSU Foundation announced restructuring plans today in response to declining revenues. Plans include reassignment and consolidation of duties and the elimination of 13 staff positions. The action was taken to preserve the foundation’s ability to fulfill its mission of raising private funds in support of Kansas State University. Declining revenues due to market performance have exerted unprecedented pressure on the foundation’s operating budget.
Waddell and Reed, Overland Park, Kan., has made a gift of $10,000 to support the establishment of the Student Financial Planning and Counseling Center at Kansas State University.
Michael and Dixie Aarstad, Andover, Kan., have made a gift and pledge totaling $30,000 to the College of Education at Kansas State University to establish the Krystal D. Aarstad Memorial Scholarship for Educators.
