Three electric utility companies and an engineering firm have made investments totaling $300,000 in the College of Engineering at Kansas State University to establish the Electric Power Affiliates Program.

On June 12, less than 24 hours after a tornado hit Manhattan and the K-State campus, the KSU Foundation established a tornado relief fund. Loyal alumni and friends from around the country responded immediately with donations and well wishes.

The Unity and Pride Campaign, the 2008 All-University Campaign for K-State will kick off Thursday, Sept. 11, at 3:30 p.m., with an ice cream social in the K-State Student Union main ballroom.

Ruth Wells, Manhattan, Kan., has made a commitment of $100,000 through a bequest to the College of Human Ecology at Kansas State University to establish the Ruth Wells Human Ecology Scholarship.
