Construction will begin this week on a new office building for the KSU Foundation on the north side of K-State’s main campus. The 14-acre site is situated on the northwest corner of the intersection of Kimball and Denison avenues. It is located directly across the street west of the Manhattan Fire Station on Denison Avenue.

E & K Companies Inc., Overland Park, Kan., has made a gift of $26,000 to the College of Engineering at Kansas State University to establish the E & K Company Scholarship in Construction Science and Management.

Bill and Loris New, Leavenworth, Kan., along with their children, have made a gift of $25,000 to establish the New Family Alpha Gamma Rho Scholarship at K-State.

Kim Schirer, Manhattan, Kan., was recently promoted to senior director of development for the College of Agriculture at the Kansas State University Foundation.

Tom Tyler, St. Louis, has made a gift and commitment totaling $25,000 to the College of Architecture, Planning and Design at Kansas State University to establish the Thomas A. Tyler/Answers Inc. Architectural and Environmental Photography Competition Award.

Arlo Crawshaw, Altoona, Kan., has made a gift of $80,000 to Kansas State University to establish the Arlo and Vivian Crawshaw Family Agriculture Scholarship and the Arlo and Vivian Crawshaw Family Engineering Scholarship.
