Twenty-eight Kansas State University ConocoPhillips SPIRIT scholars were honored Thursday, April 17, as ConocoPhillips representatives, including Jim Mulva, chairman and chief executive officer, visited K-State to present a check for $400,000 and meet with K-State SPIRIT scholars.

Kansas State University Telefund hosted its Grand-Prize Giveaway on Saturday, April 19, at Bosco Student Plaza on the K-State campus. The Grand-Prize Giveaway celebrated the end of Telefund 2008, the annual all-volunteer telephone campaign that raised more than $1.3 million for K-State this year.

K-State surpasses $500 million fundraising goal by more than $29 million

Kansas State University and KSU Foundation officials announced on Saturday, April 12, that $529.5 million had been contributed by 111,605 donors at the conclusion of the seven-year Changing Lives Campaign, surpassing the $500 million goal.

Oklahoma couple creates agriculture scholarship at K-State (Kansas interest for Carney)

M. Hal and Janice J. Taylor, Bartlesville, Okla., have made a gift of $50,000 to the College of Agriculture and the College of Human Ecology at Kansas State University to establish the M. Hal and Janice J. Taylor Agriculture Scholarship and the M. Hal and Janice J. Taylor Human Ecology Scholarship.

Wichita, Kan., couple commits $30,000 to K-State

Karen and Don Norton, Wichita, Kan., have made a commitment of $30,000 to Kansas State University through the proceeds of an IRA to establish the Don and Karen Norton Architectural Engineering Scholarship, the Karen Kinney Norton and Don Norton Education Scholarship and the Karen Kinney Norton and Don Norton Facilities for the K-State Student Union Excellence Fund.
