Bill and Phyllis Binford, Hutchinson, Kan., have made a gift of $288,000 through a charitable remainder unitrust (CRUT) to the Kansas State University Changing Lives Campaign to establish the William K. Binford Scholarship in Engineering, the Phyllis J. Binford Scholarship in Education and the Bill and Phyllis Binford Endowed Football Scholarship.

H. Alan and Karen Bell, Manhattan, Kan., have made a gift of $400,000 through two charitable gift annuities to the Kansas State University Changing Lives Campaign to establish the Karen Bell Women’s Tennis Scholarship, Karen Bell Elementary Education Scholarship, H. Alan Bell Engineering Scholarship and H. Alan Bell Chemistry Scholarship.

Capitol Federal Savings, Topeka, Kan., has made a gift of $550,000 to the Kansas State University Changing Lives Campaign to establish the Capitol Federal Distinguished Chair in Finance and add to the previously established Capitol Federal Scholarship.

Walter Byers, Emmett, Kan., a one time “city kid,” former executive director of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and cattle rancher, has responded to the rural and ranching communities which have been a major part of his life by establishing a significant scholarship fund at Kansas State University.

Virgil and Jane Snell, Overland Park, Kan., have made a gift of $50,000 to the Kansas State University Changing Lives Campaign to establish the Snell Family Engineering Scholarship in honor of themselves and their seven children.

Donald and Joyce Rumsfeld have made a gift of $25,000 to the Kansas State University Changing Lives Campaign to the General Richard Myers Chair.

The Mid America Alpaca Foundation, Hiawatha, Kan., has made a commitment of $50,000 to the Kansas State University Changing Lives Campaign to establish the Camelid Teaching and Education Fund.

Lawrence and Georgia Morehouse, Columbia, Mo., have made a gift of $100,000 through a charitable gift annuity to the Kansas State University Changing Lives Campaign to establish the Lawrence G. and Georgia L. Morehouse Scholarship.
