Equine Education Center

Changing Lives by: Establishing an equine center through personal charitable contributions and creating a vision for a state-of-the-art center that will greatly enhance K-State’s College of Agriculture’s ability to attract the finest students and the nation’s most prominent agricultural events to the Manhattan campus.

Why they gave: Generous donors such as Phil Phar, Joe Downey and Pat Koons chose to give to development of the Equine Education Center at K-State because of their passion for all things equine.

Impact: The horse industry nationwide is experiencing a huge upsurge, and the addition of this facility will enable K-State and the area to capitalize on this growing interest while also allowing K-State to expand the opportunities for students to pursue an equine science certification and host a variety of equine educational activities.
