In order to effectively transition into the next decade, academic programs at K-State at Salina must be consistent with the specific technology addressed and meet the general needs of society. Entering students must be assured that the education they receive is relevant to a need and will provide a base for building a lifelong career. Students must be prepared to effectively communicate and apply technology-based solutions to meet the needs of a global workplace. Alumni and industry must remain active supporters enhancing the college through the sharing of their perspective and resources. We rely on this network of support to meet needs in faculty enhancement, facilities and equipment, in addition to scholarship support.
The levels of student enthusiasm, faculty expertise and quality equipment have never been higher at K-State at Salina because of our generous supporters. However, we cannot stop the drive on this road to excellence. Engineering technology is a rapidly growing area of need for Kansas industries. Together — as faculty, students, alumni and donors — we will prepare graduates for successful lifelong careers and provide leadership in the engineering technology and aviation industries.
