Harms imageDear Donor:

I would just like to personally thank you for your scholarship and your support of students with this scholarship. Being awarded this scholarship will help me financially while attending Kansas State and while getting my undergraduate degrees in biology and history from this amazing university. I feel that this university will prepare me for my future employment.

I am a sophomore that has 38 credit hours and a 4.0 GPA. I was raised in Derby, Kan., but went to Mulvane High School. I have an older brother who just graduated this past December from Kansas State and is working in Denver. I have a younger sister that is a junior in high school and says she is going to Kansas State. My mom and dad are both employed at Spirit Aero Systems.

I am involved with Alpha Epsilon Delta, the pre-medicine honor society. I have also been a part of the Pep band and played at the basketball games. I have been involved in collegiate 4-H and with Campus Crusades for Christ as well. This past November, I was selected to do biomedical research at Kansas State. I have also gotten to know many people that were on my floor in Moore Hall, and I was active in intramural sports with my floor.

I would like to become a family physician someday and Kansas State is a stepping stone to achieving that goal. I would like to become a rural family physician and the pre-medicine classes offered here at Kansas State will help me in my understanding of the basics in the many areas I will need to know. Kansas State has also been a leader in preparing students for rural medicine in the state of Kansas. Thank you again for the scholarship.

Sincerely,

Nathan Harms
