Blaes imageDear Donor:

Thank you for supporting my educational endeavors with the Kansas Farm Bureau Scholarship. With the rising cost of tuition, it has become so important that scholarships are available to students like me so that we may continue to adequately fund our education.

I am currently a fifth year senior finishing dual majors in agricultural communications and agricultural economics. I am very much enjoying my time at K-State and am looking forward to someday having a career in public relations for an agricultural company or as a lobbyist for an agricultural organization.

My efforts in college have allowed me to maintain a 4.0 GPA in my first four years at K-State. I am originally from Cherryvale, Kan., and I graduated from Cherryvale High School in 2003. My family owns and operates a farm, and I am the oldest of three children.

During my time at K-State, I have had the opportunity to be involved in many organizations. I served as a state officer for the Kansas FFA Association in 2003-2004. I am currently the student senate privilege fee chair and a member of Blue Key senior honor society. Previously, I have served as president of FarmHouse fraternity and vice president of the College of Agriculture Ambassadors. I was also editor of the Kansas State Agriculturist Magazine last fall. My junior year, I was pleased to receive the legislative fellowship with the Kansas Farm Bureau. I believe that these activities can only help me when I am searching for jobs next year.

Again, thank you for providing this scholarship. It means a lot to me and my future. I hope that you will continue to support students with this scholarship in the future.

Sincerely,

Clint M. Blaes
