How does K-State use private donations? Private gifts infuse almost every aspect of K-State, including scholarship and student awards, academic support, administrative faculty and student support and capital improvements.
For more information, read the KSU Foundation's Annual Reports.
Across the nation, state funding for public colleges and universities as a percentage of total expenses is on the decline. In fiscal year 2008-2009, only 25.3 percent of K-State’s operating budget was supported by state-appropriated funds. Because of this, private donations are critical to K-State’s continued success.
