K-State ROTC

ROTC has a long tradition at K-State. Since its founding in 1863, K-State has offered general military training on campus. Today, our Army ROTC program is the best Army ROTC program in Kansas and is ranked among the top 20 percent in the nation. Our Air Force ROTC has twice been named one of the nation's best.

Center for Basic Cancer Research

The Terry C. Johnson Center for Basic Cancer Research was organized in 1980 to encourage and support cancer-related research, training and outreach. Presently, 60 laboratories in multiple administrative units across campus perform relevant research, with the center providing funding for such things as equipment, travel to interact with investigators at other universities and research support. SymonsWhat students are saying

“Receiving a K-State scholarship was very humbling. Since many scholarships at K-State are given because of alumni support and donations, it makes me feel honored and grateful to know that someone who walked the same sidewalks and shared many of the same experiences as me is looking out for students today and supporting my learning experience.” — Taylor Symons, speech communications major.
