As I watch students make their way across campus, I'm struck by the realization that what students learn today will influence their futures. Whether it's a lecture that captures their imagination, a lab experience that changes their understanding of a concept or an interaction with a staff member who inspires them, their future success does not begin at some distant graduation date. It begins today.
Preparing for K-State's future success is much the same. With the creation of the K-State 2025 Visionary Plan, we are beginning to work toward our goal of becoming a top 50 public research university. Our future success begins today, and it will take a great deal of hard work and resources over the next several years to meet this transformational goal.
